At Gravity coconutoil.lk, everything begins with creating. Whether it’s products, stories, songs, or art we’re inspired by the joy of making something meaningful from scratch.

Our journey began in 2015, at home scraping coconuts, drying the flakes by our mother’s stove, and cold-pressing oil using a handmade tabletop expeller. What started as fun backyard experiments slowly transformed into a vision: to build something proudly Sri Lankan, with global standards, and a heart full of purpose.

Built by Curiosity, Run by Passion

We were never a conventional business. We designed our own tools. We wrote our own code. We learned every step from product development to customer service by doing it ourselves. No fancy start-up capital. Just friendship, curiosity, and an unshakable belief in Sri Lanka’s potential.

Inspired by global giants like Sony, Apple, and Coca-Cola we asked: Why not us? Why can't a small island brand compete in quality, ethics, and innovation?

Vithanage Pulasthi

Director – Finance
A First Class Honours graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, specializing in Structural Engineering. Pulasthi brings with him strong analytical insight and real-world experience in the irrigation and water resources sector, particularly in hydrological and hydraulic design and planning. His leadership in finance ensures the company’s growth is sustainable, accountable, and future-ready.

Sachith Goonatilleke

Director – Branding & Marketing
A Civil Engineer with First Class Honours from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, specializing in Structural Engineering. Sachith brings extensive experience in structural and hydraulic design, project planning, and contract management within the irrigation and water resources sector. Beyond engineering, his passion for storytelling, design, and strategic communication fuels the brand’s unique identity — building coconutoil.lk into a voice of trust, creativity, and proudly Sri Lankan excellence.

Nipuna Illangarathna

Director – Manufacturing
An Electrical Engineer by training and a specialist in automation, Nipuna holds a Master’s Degree in Robotics and Automation from the University of Moratuwa. With experience spanning electrical power generation, solar energy systems, industrial automation, and sustainable engineering, he leads our manufacturing processes with a focus on precision, innovation, and eco-conscious design.

Dinesh Kodithuwakku

Director – Product Development
An Electrical Engineer from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, Dinesh holds a Master’s Degree in Robotics and Automation and has completed his PhD at Yokohama National University, Japan. With a deep foundation in advanced engineering and research, he brings cutting-edge insight to product development — shaping innovations that are both practical and globally competitive.
